We had SO much fun with the big kids home for good, long stay.
But it was eventually time for them to head back to St. George.
One last family selfie before B flew home.
I bought this Lego set a long time ago and it has just been
sitting on a shelf in my room. I decided to bust it open.
It's one of those three-in-one sets and I had so much fun
building all three versions of it.
This Jackbox t-shirt cracked me up
7x4=32
Another new food from the Khats
They told me it was a sapodilla.
I've never heard of that.
Scooter!
A gas station on the way to church had an accident. :0
Andrew and I have had some fun digital games of Wingspan.
We both had some of our highest scores on this one!
Pizza date night.
I think in the winter when it's too cold for tennis,
we have lots of dinner dates.
Another super close one, Andrew won by ONE!
My first day of work!!!
Eeek! So exciting!
It was just onboarding and employee trainings,
but I really enjoyed it.
One last puzzle before Whit flew home.
Oh, how I love having the big kids home.
I also took Whit out for breakfast at First Watch
before I drove her to the airport. SO GOOD.
My second day of work was observing a hygienist at work.
UDA has seven offices in the area and this is the one closest
to me. It's in High Point. It's a small office and everyone there
is SO nice to me. I LOVED my day of observing and quickly
felt at home there. It's so fun to return to a career that I love!
Another dinner-date at Qdoba.
It's one of our favorites close to the temple.
Always wonderful to spend time in the temple together.
I'm not sure why I took a picture of my odometer here.
Maybe to show that I have already put 60k miles on my
car in less than two years?
With my first paycheck, I told Andrew and Care Bear
I wanted to take them out to dinner. Fun!
I chose Pastabilities, one of my favorites.
Chilly neighborhood walk
Exciting news! Bucees is coming to NC!!
According to google, in 2023, I visited 4 countries,
156 cities, and 706 places. I traveled a total distance
of over 40k miles, which is 1.8 times around the world.
Sabrina had a winter photo shoot
with Care Bear.
So beautiful!
She is still LOVING aerials and
is excited to go every Monday and Wednesday.
Jayne and I went out to lunch
and shopping at an antique
store one day.
These tea cups were so pretty.
This was a fun booth there, too.
Most of my volunteering with World Relief is helping
the Khats with English. I was able to help set up this apartment
for an incoming refugee family.
When I texted this pic to Barb, she kindly
offered to buy a bedside table for this family.
She ordered it and had it shipped to me
and I put it together and delivered it to
World Relief.
Miss Whit flew into Salt Lake,
so it was fun to get this pic of her and her Grandma.
Temple night with the RS Presidency!
Kaylyn, our ministering secretary, wasn't able to join us.
And we're STILL waiting for a second counselor to be called.
We've been waiting since August when April got
called to teach seminary.
Fun birding at the neighborhood lake
Pied-billed grebe
Hooded mergansers
The female head feathers are crazy.
Also saw a bunny
a cat
a seagull
Check out her head feathers!
The males are so pretty
Cormorants
House finch at the feeder
Finally good enough weather for a tennis date!
Our favorite!
Apparently, I'm in the top 10%
of Dave and Buster's app users??
I find that hard to believe.
I am worried about the future of
their business if I'm one of their top users.
I love the place, but I only go 3-4 times a year...
One of UDA's offices is in Winston, about a half-hour
drive for me. They are in need of a hygienist one
day a week, so that's where I have started working!
They are so understanding, because I still have to pick
up Caroline from school. So, I work from 7:30-1:30 one day a week.
It's practically perfect.
I love patient care. I love meeting new people.
I love getting to know my co-workers.
I DON'T love the computer.
Last time I worked, we still had PAPER charts.
The system is not user friendly and I am STRUGGLING.
And I don't love having to wait for dentists to come
do exams on my patients which can put me behind
in my schedule.
But overall, I'm very happy!
Sweet flowers from Drew.
Another dinner date--Mexican.
This year's Christmas cards
I love this tradition and getting to
enjoy pics of family and friends for a while.
Cool sky
Andrew and I still play Pandemic 2-3 times a week
during lunch. This time we eradicated three of the
four diseases! We'd never done that before.
