For our first week in Utah, we spent the week
with Andrew's side of the family.
With his siblings living all across the country,
it is a rare treat to get to spend time together.
First up, we got to attend Carly's baptism.
So happy we could share her special day with her!
Look at all this love!
There are definite perks to having a summer birthday
(Borrowed both of these pics from Amy's blog, Thanks!)
After that spiritual high, we put our physical bodies to
work at Airborne trampoline and ninja park.
Uncle Drew got some bonding time with Truman.
Jane and Whit
B-train worked his butt off on the ninja course.
The top times are listed on the wall and he thought
he could make the top ten.
It took several tries, but he did it!
Woo hoo!
When I went to the front desk to tell them,
they informed me that the wall is outdated.
It is too much work to keep up and they don't keep track anymore.
Boo.
It was another combined birthday for B and Carly.
This was the best cake I could come up with for a
17 year old boy and 8 year old girl. :)
BACKYARD WATER DAY
The kids had a blast!
Catching some rays
Spike ball
Andrew and Tony were playing catch,
when THIS happened...
It would have been really funny,
if Andrew's work phone wouldn't have been in his pocket.
D'oh! Luckily, he was due for an upgrade.
Just hard to be phone-less while he waited for the new one to arrive.
We've got some musical genes!
So fun to listen to the teens (and Tony) jammin to Hamilton,
with the amazing Lauren on the piano.
Then we rocked out to The Greatest Showman.
Family Fourth of July pic
I guess I was the only one who remembered
to pack a patriotic shirt.
Extended family pic.
We had almost everyone there.
Elise just started her mission in Lansing, Michigan.
Ethan couldn't take off work.
And we'll always miss Wyatt.
Some relaxing time for C.
Sparklers!
Oops...we got out C backward.
By the time we got it fixed,
our E and R burned out.

LAKE DAY
Andrew's parents rented a boat for us and we spent a
day out at Jordanelle. When we first got there, it was overcast
and a bit chilly. It ended up being a GREAT day.
We also rented a couple kayaks.
And Tone and Cind brought their paddleboard.
Lauren is a an awesome wake surfer.
It was hilarious watching the teens on the tube.
Our THREE rising seniors!
It'll be interesting to see where they end up next year.
Gorgeous sunset on our way out.
One day, our family went down to Orem for B to
tour UVU, one of my alma mater's.
He liked it, but has better scholarship opportunities at Dixie.
The Windows of Knowledge exhibit in the library is AMAZING.
We took the kids to one of our fave old stomping grounds,
the Nickelcade!
It has been updated A LOT.
Still a lot of fun.
We spent one evening at Tony and Cindy's.
Andrew introduced his family to Punderdome.
It was HILARIOUS.
Had fun playing tennis at the park.
Andrew and I snuck to the temple.
Andrew and the rest of the teenage cousins went to Lagoon for the day.
They had a FABULOUS time together.
I don't have any pics to show.
Andrew and I took the girls to the museum of curiosity.
Then we met Anna for dinner.
Love having life-long friends!
On Sunday, Whitney and I went down to the Conference Center
to listen to Music and the Spoken Word.
Soooo good!
After church, we went to visit Grandma Hiatt.
She is so sweet and loving,
even though her dementia is bad and she has
no idea who we are anymore.
On Monday, Brandon, C and I went to Rexburg to tour BYU-I.
He was NOT a fan.
He felt like it was a huge waste of time.
Too bad.
On the plus side, we got to eat some DELICIOUS
frozen custard at Kari Anne's.
It's a food truck that someone had told us about at church.
Yum!
Also, on the plus side, B had lost his ipod while he was at Lagoon.
We stopped on our way home and it had been turned in to the Lost and Found!
Hooray for honest patrons at Lagoon!
Looks like an awesome week!!
