What the Rest of October Looked Like

My cousin moved to Greensboro!
And she lives really close to us.
And her name is also Andrea!
We had her and her husband over for dinner.
I thought it went well, but we haven't
talked since then. So I guess it didn't go great. Ha!

I'm STINKING in fantasy football this year!
So frustrating. 10th place out of 12 teams? Embarrassing...

Got to go to the temple with Jenae.

My singles team made it to States!
I'm much more comfortable in my doubles game,
but these ladies are fun and I did my best.
I got to play in three matches and won two of them. Yes!
Steph, me, Kristen, and Erin

One night, it was just Stephanie and I for dinner
at a yummy Peruvian restaurant.

States for Singles is in Goldsboro, which is not a big city.
So we end up playing at some courts that are out in the boonies.
We had to grab lunch at some janky place. It was hilarious.
Steph, Me, Casey, and Layne.

Fun tennis friends!

Our captains have a tradition that if you lose
at States you have take a picture with the crying baby face.
It's hilarious and I love it.
The match that I lost was SO CLOSE!
I lost in tiebreak and actually had match point at 9-8,
but ended up losing 11-9. :(
Our team didn't do well. We went 1-3 and finished 7th out of 8 teams.

Drew teaching Caroline how to work our gas fireplace.

One of my favorite tennis partners--Julie.
Love playing with her.

My Cambodian snack for the day:
a sliced banana and canned longan--
a fruit I had never heard of or tried before.
Pretty good.

I also got to go to the temple with Becky--one of my
favorite friends that I only get to see a couple times a year.

Discovered a yummy new Mediterranean
restaurant near the temple called mezeh.
I loved it!

Andrew had work meetings in Dallas.
Here is with three of his co-workers.
When you work in HR, almost all of your
co-workers are women. :)

A couple random pics of C in a tree in Utah.

Fun, random decorations around our
Japanese restaurant in St George.

So excited!

I wanted C to do some cool acro pics
in the tree, but the lighting is so bad.

They didn't turn out how I expected.

She loves to take pics with my .5 camera.

I find all kinds of these on my camera roll.

Another day my friends gave me a baby banana!
I've seen those in the store sometimes, but I'd never tried one.
They're so cute! And they taste the same as big bananas.

Aunt Irene and Uncle Bill were passing through town
and stopped for a quick visit. We didn't get to spend
much time together, but I'm so happy we could see them.

Temple night with Drew. :)

I took him to mezeh.
He wasn't a fan. :(

C and I are still working through out treat coupons.
Today was shaved ice from Pelican's Snowballs.

Beautiful day on my walk around the lake.

Pretty walk in High Point

Ward Trunk or Treat
I broke out my old princess costume and C was a raspberry.

Some of the trunk-or-treaters

Andrew and I are playing racquets and jackets
this winter! Hooray!
There's only one other team in our division, so we play them every week. But they have two
couples on the team, so we had three matches against each pair. I'm a strong 3.5 and Andrew is better than me, so I thought we would kick butt! Wow, I was humbled. We played well together and had fun, but we went 2-4 on the season. One of their guys, Raj, was unbeatable. I can't believe he didn't get bumped to 4.0. But everyone was nice and it was so fun to be back on the court with Drew after years of him getting surgeries and recovering from said surgeries.

Savannah is dating Naje. He's awesome and friendly and we really like him. He's investigating the church right now and Andrew was able to hand down one of his old suits for Naje. There aren't a lot of people who will fit into Andrew's clothes! It was fun to see him wearing it. He's actually a little taller than Andrew.

Boo on missing wordle!

Halloween silks photo shoot

Andrew and I had a quiet night at home on Halloween.
Care Bear was out with her friends.
We just handed out candy.

This was my favorite costume that I saw.
So funny!

Sweat Family Portraits 2023

B has been dabbling in photography for the past year or two. He has a good camera now and we decided to hire him to do our family portraits while we were all together in St. George. We spent golden hour in Snow Canyon and I'm SOOOO happy with how the pics turned out. He did GREAT!

Is that backdrop BREATHTAKING or what???

We went to a couple different spots in the park.

This spot was my favorite.

I thought the lighting was just right.

Andrew's solo shots

I love this one

A few of me

Too bad we still have a few years before
we can serve missions. This would have
been a perfect pic to submit! :)

A few of B-train.
I got to take over his camera for a minute.

Miss Whit

He got a little more artsy with some
of the shots of his sisters.
This one's so pretty.

Care Bear

This one is awesome, too.

A few outtakes and fun shots

Mid photo-shoot dance party

When Andrew's involved, you always
gotta check the eyebrows.

Quick story.
The AirBnB that we rented was someone's home.
Like they actually live there most of the time, but
rent it out when they're traveling. In the master bathroom,
they had a list of family goals posted on the wall.
It was actually super cute.
But one of the husband's goals was to be more confident
and to have better posture. So this is how Andrew
pictures him. Ha!

Mr. Business

They have comfortable rocks in Snow Canyon

Still got hops

I love this one!
These girls miss each other. <3

Bursting with joy!
Or creepy faces.
You decide. :)
