July 2024 Aerials

Since Grandma was in town, Sabrina let Caroline do a little personal show just for her. And it was awesome!!

First up:
Silks

Next:
Straps

Hammock

And finished up with Lyra

This girl works so hard every week. Right now she goes for 45 minutes on Monday nights by herself, and then has a private with Sabrina for an hour on Wednesdays. She still LOVES it. And I LOVE watching her perform. Now that she drives herself to silks, I hardly ever get to see her. So this was such a treat. Proud of this girl.

What the rest of July 2024 Looked Like

These are some pics that leaders
sent me from Girls Camp, since
I was driving across the country
while my girl was braving the heat!
Some of our ward YW

With two of her besties--Piper and Caroline
(the OTHER Caroline)

The two Carolines

More of our ward YW

Piper has moved back to UT,
but came out to be with our YW
for camp, which was SO fun.

The two Carolines were YCL's
(Youth Camp Leaders) together,
which got confusing. One leader
decided to give them nicknames--
Boots and Flex.

AS SOON as Barb and I got home from our epic cross
country voyage, Andrew and I immediately had to leave for
Salisbury to meet the brand new Charlotte Mission leaders.
Boom! More miles for me!

Homemade oreos

Grandma got to come with me to meet the Khats!
I'm so glad! Sedaleak wasn't there that day, but we had
a great visit with Mony, Samai, and Boran.

Pan au chocolat!! Yum yum yum!

I reached a 1600 day streak in Duo.
I feel like I'm actually progressing in my Spanish!
It's so fun!

Before Grandma flew home, we got to go out to lunch
with Jayne and her mom, Diane. So happy they could
meet each other!

We had an awesome Relief Society activity
where Becca led us in painting a canvas
with a picture of the Savior.
It was a great turnout!

And Becca is really good at leading these types of events.

At my table: Sophia, the sister missionaries, and Amanda.

Rebecca, Tatum, a visitor, Nancy, and Mykie.

Donna, Lorena, and someone else

Marjee, Courtney, Kortlynn, and Jean.

Temple day!

My bounteous cherry tomato harvest! Yum!

Care Bear made us homemade Buddha bowls one night.

She even pickled onions herself!
She's a rock star.

Drew and I went birding together at Green Hill Cemetery
here in town.
Two Northern Flickers in the same tree!

Great Crested Flycatcher

Juvenile bluebird

The Khats are SO generous.
They always give me something when I leave.
I try to tell them they don't have to,
but they want to.
This week, it was seeds from inside a
lily pad flower. Surprisingly good!

Andrew doesn't cook for us very often,
but one night he made us elotes!

They were delicious!

Andrew still dreams of owning a dirt bike...
I'm trying to discourage it...

We often get herons in the lakes around here,
but I don't often see egrets. So pretty!

Andrew and I had a belated anniversary
getaway to Topsail. I LOVE spending
time with just the two of us.
First stop: Dave and Buster's in Raleigh.

Yummy dinner at Sears Landing in Surf City

The cute Airbnb where we stayed.
It's just a small apartment on the lower right.

It was perfect for us!

I always have to run to the beach for sec,
even if we get in late. Good for my soul!

Came home to a cute little tree frog on our door.

Thurs and Fri were both beach days.
We had rain off and on,
but had plenty of good time
to relax, play on the beach, and frolic in the waves.

Love it!

Of course we made time for birding.

Willet

Short-billed Dowitcher

Sanderling

Another yummy dinner--this time
at Shuckin' Shack

Obligatory jumping pics :)

One of our happy places

Good boogie boarding

Love catching some Atlantic waves

Surf Dog

Played lots of Wingspan.
We TIED once!
That was a new one!

I also love a good night-time stroll on the beach.
It's a great time to talk about long-term goals and
what's going well and could use some improvement.
The pic is so bad!

If you look REAL close, you can see some stars.
Love escaping the city lights.

We had a fun get-together with friends
since the Rosiers are back in town.
Oh, how we miss them!

The guys.
Looking tough.

At the beginning of the year, we put together a family
mission plan. And we have a few milestones that
we celebrate along the way. We reached one this month,
so went out to a new place--Legends Ice Cream & Churros.
Look at their fun wrestler/luchador corner!

It was expensive, but yummy.

Pretty hummer showing off his
ruby throat!
