Utah: Christmas

Andrew's parents hosted a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner.
Amy and Dave didn't come down from Logan,
but everyone else was there.

It was fun to be Grandma's helpers.

Look at our beautiful veggie tray!

Barb does such a great job making
it look pretty!

So happy all the young adult cousins were there. too.
Ethan was in from Cali.
Jonas was up from AZ.
And Elise is home from her mission
before heading back up to BYU-I in Jan.

The adult table.
So fun to visit with our fam.

Grandma gave all of the kids parts for the nativity.

They were goo sports.

Quite the cast!

Then it was time to open Grandparent gifts!

Woo hoo!

Fun stuff!

On Christmas morning,
B-train was the only one who had gifts
to open from our family.

Fashion show!

His gifts to the girls were hilarious.
He got Whit a wine bottle of chocolates since
she was a drink in A Christmas Carol and car air fresheners
since she has to spend so many hours in the car over the
next few months to get her license. He got Care Bear
some beef jerky (which she loved) and a Virgin Mary
candle as a shout out to her Mexican heritage (which she
thought was.... interesting...)

We headed to the Hallstroms for delicious crepes that morning.
It was snowing, so we got a bit of a White Christmas!

After breakfast, we visited Wyatt's new resting place
It's a beautiful spot in a cemetery close to Angie and Forrest's home.

There are almost always deer nearby.

After that, we headed down to Springville to spend
the afternoon with Tony and Cindy and their kids.
Andrew and Tony played some hilarious
games of knee basketball.

The older kids built an awesome
baby yoda snowman.

So good!

The next day we were supposed to head to
Logan to visit Amy and Dave and their kids.
But it was snowing pretty bad along the way
and we gave up and headed home.
Barb and Dennis had Care Bear with them
and they kept going and rolled their eyes
and the weather-wimpy-Carolinians. :)

Instead, we ended up and Dave and Buster's.
Oh, darn. :)

We won some bonuses and tried some new games.
So fun.

We had a yummy lunch at Costa Vida.
Then Barb, Dennis, and Care Bear met
us at the movie theater to watch the new Star Wars movie,
The Rise of Skywalker.
The girls and I loved it.
Andrew thought it was pretty good.
B-train thought the ending was awful,
but overall liked the visuals.

It was dark when we got out,
so we headed over to Temple Square to see the lights.

So pretty!

Also made a quick detour to see the
candy windows at Macy's,
across the street.

So fun!

The next day, we had a photo shoot with Reagan,
back down in Springville. We found out that our
friends, the Masons were in town, so we met them
for lunch at the Art City Trolley.
Fun to catch up.

We stopped to see Grandma Hiatt on our way home.
They have these new VERY life-like
babies at her care center. She is intrigued
by them and takes good care of them.
It's soothing for her.

The girls went out to see Little Women that night.
It was kind of a fiasco, with our original show time
getting cancelled and moved back an hour,
but we made it work. Great movie! We loved it!

Snuck in a quick breakfast with Anna.
Always good to catch up with her.

Cousins sporting new sweaters from Grandma.

Cuties.

Saturday was the last day that all of the cousins would be
in town. (Except Lauren, who was gone on her honeymoon cruise.)
So, Grandma reserved some lanes at the bowling alley.

It was the perfect indoor activity for a cold winter night.

Then she treated us all to dinner at
Chuck-a-Rama. ALSO perfect.
Everyone can eat what they want!
I wish I would've gotten a pic of the young adult
table. It is so fun to watch them hanging out together.
Reagan announced that she's going on a mission
this summer, so not sure the next time we'll
all be together like this.

On Sunday, we drove out to West Jordan
to visit with Erik and his wife, Heidi, that we
had never met. We had SUCH a fun time visiting.
We laughed and laughed.
So glad Andrew and Erik keep in touch.

While we were in St. George,
my fantasy football season ended
AND I WON THE SUPER BOWL!!
Woo hoo!
Third time I've done it in 12 years of playing fantasy.
