We were hoping to go over the mountains and visit with
my parents while we were out in Utah.
But in the winter, you never know if the weather
is going to cooperate.
We drove through a winter wonderland,
but we made it!
Look how beautiful!
Ice fishers
One of the new games that Amy and Dave
got for us this Christmas:
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza.
Hilarious name and fun game.
We mostly just relaxed and visited.
On New Year's Eve,
we drove out to see a couple of
the houses around Roosevelt that
go all out in their decorations.
This is super hard to see, but it's the thermometer
in the van that says FIVE DEGREES.
Oh my gosh.
That's a different level of cold than we're used to!
We had to go outside for a minute
to light sparklers.
We lit them quick and got back iside
as soon as we could. Ha!
Happy New Year!
Care Bear went to bed early.
The rest of us stayed up and played Singstar
late into the night.
So fun!
Then we got to drive back
through the winter wonderland
to catch a plane.
And then it was time to bid
good-bye to the snowy landscape
and head back to the warmth of NC.
We had a fun layover on Dallas on our way home.
The girls enjoyed riding the tram.
I'm thankful we could see so many loved ones over Christmas break. But we sure missed our own little family traditions. I hope future nieces and nephews get married in the summer. :)
It was so fun to see you all over Christmas! Glad to see you're playing the random game we got you. (-;
