They made it here in time to play a couple games before bed. Yay!
Marianne and Patrick took off the next morning.
I arranged a playdate for E with Kristin's daughter.
It was so fun being back in little-kid-mom world for a little while!
Lunch with Andrew at home
We had gorgeous weather.
Scootering around the neighborhood.
She liked playing with Bumble and Scoot
And feeding them celery
And holding them
One night we got to go to Whitney's chorus concert.
It was a little long for a 4-year-old.
Luckily I had downloaded an episode of Sherriff Callie to my phone.
That saved the day.
Whit did a great job.
I gave E some options of things we could do each day.
She mostly just wanted to go to the park.
I was happy to oblige.
We spent some time at Triad Park.
We raced down the slide.
And had a picnic lunch.
She pushed me in the swing.
And climbed the little rock.
I tried climbing one of the big rocks,
but didn't get very far.
We stopped at McKay's bookstore and picked out a couple new books.
Then we played with the trains at Toys and Co until
it was time to pick Care Bear up from school.
E's favorite thing to do at our house:
build with Lego!
She built a beach, a restaurant, and a vet's office.
She also got to go to aerial silks class to watch Caroline.
I had picked out these bendaroos
for her while we were at McKay's.
They were perfect for keeping her quietly entertained.
More piggie time
The next day, E chose to go to another park.
We headed downtown to LeBauer Park.
It was another beautiful day.
Care Bear and Piper came with us.
These slides were fun.
She made some little friends.
They kept running up and sliding down together.
So fun.
We stopped to get Krispy Kreme donuts on our way home.
Yum.
And we made some more creations
with the bendaroos at home.
Before we knew it,
Marianne and Patrick were on their way back into town.
We asked Caroline to babysit on Sat night,
so we could head out to a quick dinner together.
And then we had time for more games before bed. Our favorite!
They came to church with us in the morning and then
they headed home afterward.
E was a great girl and we had so much fun watching her.
We'd totally be up for doing it again.
What a cutie!
