Cinco de Mayo fajitas
So good!
Andrew and I went to the temple.
I failed to take a pic at the temple,
but made sure to get one at the ice cream shop afterward...
Saturday at the Farmer's Markets!
Microgreens and ice cream
And an elote!!!
Miss Whit moved home for the summer.
Yippee!
We're so happy to have her!
Finished off our 3.5 18+ team and went out to lunch to celebrate.
Jax, Casey, Elisabeth, Lindsay, Sonia, Aprille, Steph, Natalie, and me
My Gerbera daisies are going CRAZY this year!
I've never seen so many blooms!
I can't remember why I was eating a popsicle
in the car with an earbud in....
I love playing with Natalie!
She's such a great partner and we do really well together.
We went 4-1 together on the season.
I had to have my first colonoscopy!
Oh my gosh.
The prep for that procedure is ridiculous.
You have to drink that whole bottle of laxative...
Not pleasant.
And have a liquid diet all day
But the procedure itself is not bad at all.
It was my first time being put to sleep.
And it went fine without any complications.
Yippee!
And my doctor said I'm good for TEN YEARS.
Day of the Arts at NCLA
Bear got to sing with the choir.
You can kinda see her in the back row.
She also got to sign with her friends,
which was awesome to watch.
That's her teacher, Wiz, on the right.
Ingram's Farm
Had to pick up our fresh strawberries.
Yum yum yum.
Birding!
Dinner with Karen and our friends to celebrate
her finishing up chemo. Hooray!
So glad that's done.
Such a great group of friends.
Loved spending the evening with them.
Mother's Day!
I got spoiled with my favorite things,
vegetable lasagna.
And strawberry shortcake!
I got a new watch and this awesome
bird shirt.
Care Bear and I built a new container
for our garden.
It's so cute!
But we didn't put enough soil in it.
So the middle row didn't really grow anything.
We'll try again next year.
I'm still doing duolingo for my spanish every day.
Diamond league is the top league, so that's
always fun to get promoted there.
Andrew had some church meetings with these cool people.
We found a car for Caroline!
Yippee! She'll get to learn to drive on this cute
Honda Civic! It's perfect.
She continues to go to silks in Burlington about once a week.
Look at these monsterras!
And this fiddle leaf fig!
So pretty. This is a plant store off of Spring Garden.
They have great plants, but terrible customer service.
C's spring chorus concert!
I had to take an official-looking photo
to send in with my application to take
THE BOARDS! This is really happening, y'all!
Spare Time has gotten so lame.
Thus, the sad faces.
They only let you play Space Invaders ONE TIME
and then the score to beat goes higher than the highest
score of all time. L-A-M-E!!!!
I played on a 4.0 team with Catherine this spring.
She's the nicest and a wonderful captain.
Loved playing with her.
Ennui???
Never heard of it....
Marianne and Patrick came to visit!
Yippee!
Board game friends!
The main reason they came was for E to participate
in her first feis (pronounced "fesh"). It's an Irish dancing
competition. I'm so happy I could go watch and get a
glimpse into a world I know nothing about!
She did awesome!
It's so pretty!
She tried to teach me some of her moves...
Not easy.
She got medals in all three of her dances.
We had a little time to hang out after the feis, so we drove
up to Pilot Mountain. And we ran into the Rosiers there!
So fun!
We hiked around the knob, which is a perfect little hike.
And it was a beautiful day.
I love the view from up there!
We went out to dinner that night.
While we were waiting for our food,
we messed around with the Family Tree app.
The celebrity I look most like?
Joe Louis! Ha ha ha ha!
Can't you see the resemblance???
Sweet Ol' Bills
One of my favorites.
Great Blue Heron eating a fish.
I thought this was hilarious that they had fruit
"flavored" nail polish remover.
I'm pretty sure it's just a bad translation...
My hydrangeas are starting to bloom!
Bird walk with the Piedmont Bird Club.
I love hanging out with these people.
They know so much!
Lunch with Bea and her Mom!
Her mom doesn't speak English, so it was super
fun for me to practice my spanish!
Grasshoppers game!
Barb ordered this super fun piano duet book for
me and Whitney to play. We love it! Especially the first
song. The harmonies are so pretty!
For Caroline's birthday, Sabrina invited us to have
a silks party at the gym!
What?! Yes, please!
Care Bear did a little performance.
Then we posed for pics.
Caroline, Brenna, Juliana, Caroline, Bella, Brianna, Mallory.
Then everyone got to try the silks.
Everyone had fun!
Such a good group of friends.
Crumbl cookies instead of cake.
So happy we could celebrate our girl!
Happy birthday, sweet girl!
Loved reading about so many marvelous people, sports, plants, birds, birthdays galore (and a colonoscopy)!
