Pretty bluebird
Happy Easter!
He is risen!
Caroline and I continued our tradition of
putting together Easter flower arrangements.
Andrew planned a super fun date for us!
We went to a place called the Molten Makerspace.
And we got to work with glass!
Neither of us had done anything like this before.
It was so fun!
We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Part of our finished project.
The makerspace is right by Odeh's, one of our fave
restaurants, so we went to dinner there afterward.
April is a good time to do a refresh on the landscaping.
I put down new mulch everywhere.
Got the garden ready to grow.
And re-planted out back deck pots.
So pretty!
April = General Conference time
One of our favorite weekends of the year!
Love being spiritually fed from the comfort of
our own home for several hours together.
My dad won our March Madness bracket this year.
Woo hoo!
I took a not-so-close second.
Sweetfrog yogurt to celebrate making progress on our
family mission plan. Yay!
Katharyn had a baby shower at work.
She got showered for sure!
She'll be ready for her sweet little boy soon!
I can't remember exactly what happened...
Was it a loss of power or water???
But I had to go to the laundromat to do laundry.
I hadn't done that in a LONG time.
My favorite Gerbera daisies came back again.
Brown thrasher
Dogwoods are in bloom!
Gorgeous!
April is National Dental Hygienist month
A cute water bottle we got from UDA.
Jayne and I went to Chapel Hill together
to watch Dorrance Dance. SO good!
Kind of confusing, but also inspiring.
Stopped by the after-party for a bit with Natalie and Carrie.
Date night at Sweet Old Bills. Yummy!
B train came into town!
Working for Skywest is the best because
we'll have random visits from our boy.
Brunch at Otis and Parker.
Stopped for a little birding.
He got to watch Caroline's school choir performance.
And it was stake conference weekend, so he was there
for that as well. I think he slept through it--as you can
tell by his crazy hair.
Blue-gray gnatcatcher on its nest!!
I rarely get to see something like that!
Birding at Oak Hollow Lake
Sandpiper
Not our favorite night:
Caroline's cute little Honda Civic DIED!!!!
Nooooooo!
Luckily everyone was safe. It was having some issues
so she had asked Andrew to drive it home and it
died on the side of the road. We had it towed to our
mechanic and I can't remember exactly what was wrong with it,
but it would cost more to fix than it was worth,
so we just sold it to a junkyard.
So so sad. We loved that car.
UDA moved to a new office right across the street from our old office.
It's so nice and new and BIG.
I mostly like it, but my room doesn't have a window anymore.
In the old office, my window overlooked the freeway, so it's
not like I had a GREAT view, but I liked being able to see outside.
No more window in my new office.
And we have all brand-new equipment and chairs,
which ended up being great, but took some getting used
to at the beginning. The other downside is that the doctors work
down a different hall than the hygienists and sometimes they just
ignore us when we need an exam. That was harder to do when they were walking
back and forth right by our operatories.
I walk the 3-mile loop around the neighborhood lake 2-3 times
a week. But usually when Andrew and I go on walks together,
we just do a mile right near our house. Tonight we did the
whole loop together and it was perfect.
Hummer!
