MSC Cruise: Ocean Cay

The Rosiers are such a fun match for us to cruise with.
Oh, how we miss having them living in NC!

Line dance class

Craft class

Crafty hearts

More yummy food

More fun games

Our second stop on this cruise was MSC's private island,
Ocean Cay. Andrew and I had been here before. It is TINY,
but beautiful and pristine. This time, it was windy and
the waves were rough, much different than what we'd
experienced before.

Can you see those waves behind us?
It's usually super calm in this area.

I got burned pretty bad at the sand-castle excursion,
so Andrew let me borrow one of his rash guards.

It was not good snorkeling weather. Boo!!
Snorkeling is one of our VERY favorite things about cruising.

We still tried it.

But as you can tell from these pics,

the visibility was LOW.
Darn.

It also sprinkled off and on while we were there.
Didn't matter much when we were enjoying the water.

Ocean Cay has this cute little lighthouse.

That night was formal night,
so it was fun to get all dressed up.

Good-bye, Ocean Cay!

Good-bye game room!
Good-bye, Rosiers!

Our main lesson learned from this cruise:
There's a wide variety of quality among the ships, even within the same company. The location and dates are usually the deciding factors for us in booking a cruise. But I wouldn't go on the MSC Magnifica again. The service was better this time around, though. And we liked the food. Entertainment was pretty good.

  1. I agree on the ship making a difference. Now I'm getting too cruise picky after having done a decent amount that I want good dates, good ports, and a good ship!
