Feb is still a great time for puzzles and I did some fun ones.
Fun birding with Drew.
We saw ring necked ducks.
And a beautiful sunset.
And some buffleheads--one of our faves!
YW basketball!
Aaliyah, Kortlynn (coach), Brynn, Caroline, Caroline
Evy, Tori, Catherine
Our turn to clean the church.
Sister Hardesty and Tanner Long
were on our crew with us this time.
Quick work.
I'm killing it on Duolingo!
Que bueno!
In NC, when a teenager first gets their driver's license,
they have restrictions on it, including not being able to
drive after 9 pm. After a number of months and a number
of driving hours, you can go back to the DMV and "get your nines off".
The DMV lives up to all stereotypes and is ridiculously difficult
to get into. Caroline and I had a miscommunication about the
appointment that I had set to get her nines off, so we had to
wait in this line... all the way out the door.
It was ridiculous.
But we succeeded!
And now she's a full-fledged driver!
Yippee!!
Looks like we had corn and asparagus for
dinner one night...
I think Grandma snapped this picture
while she was here visiting--
Caroline and I at the organ together.
Caroline is learning to play the foot
pedals and it's awesome!
Our super bowl spread for this year!
Andrew's trying to lose weight and I guess
we all decided to support him in his efforts--
except for the plate of krispy kreme. Ha!
Lunch with Mendy, one of my dearest friends
that I don't get to visit with as much as I'd like.
Some Valentine's pics of Care Bear doing aerials.
On the heart-shaped lyra!
That girl is incredible.
Another birding adventure with Drew.
And another beautiful sunset!
We found a rock formation.
You don't see those in our neck of the woods very often!
We spooked a bald eagle out of a tree and got to watch
it on this little island for quite a while. So cool!
Valentine's Day!
We had such a fun date night!
We went to Winston.
First went out to dinner at a yummy Mexican place.
Then went to a salsa dancing class and evening.
It was SO much fun!
We videoed ourselves so we could
remember our moves for our upcoming cruise. :)
I love unique, memorable dates like these.
Another puzzle!
I don't know what was up with our birdfeeder
in Feb, but on one singular day, it was HOPPING!
Sixteen species!
I can't tell what this guy is...
Merlin thinks it's a female goldfinch.
Cardinal
Eastern bluebird
Sparrow of some sort
Dapper Blue Jay
Downy woodpecker
I've seen them on our suet before,
but not getting seed out of the feeder.
Dark-eyed junco
Tufted Titmouse
Mourning dove
Brown Thrasher
Got a little dusting of snow
Finished another fun puzzle
Small GNO with Laura, Shani, and Shelly.
Always great to catch up with my "preschool friends".
Mendy hosted a crafting day for at the church
for her birthday. It was so fun.
Spent some time with Toni, Mallory and Shayna.
Then got to catch up with Erin, Heather, and Mendy.
Soch a fun day.
Yet another puzzle...
My daffodils have popped up!
At least once a year, Andrew and I like to go to
a Swarm game. This year, we went on Latin Night.
Oh, yea!
We got Swarm scarves.
The half-time entertainment was Mexican
dancers. They were gorgeous!
So fun to watch!
Their dresses are amazing!
Oh, and the basketball was fun, too. :)
Another night we went to watch a friend
from the stake perform in Murder on the Orient Express.
Relief Society Temple Trip!
Loved worshipping in the temple with
Jean, Ethel, and Mykie.
And in just a few days my daffodils actually bloomed!
Happy February!
