What September Looked Like

Now that Shelley has moved into an actual studio space,
Company members got to help advertise to recruit new dancers.

NC FolkFest

Sarah invited Caroline and I to her Dad's
concert at UNCG. It was so good.

Whitney's last appointment with Dr. Buckley!

Hurricane Florence!
She was HUGE!

Over three inches of rain predicted for one day!

The radar view

After she hit, she broke up into bands,
so we'd get rain in waves as they passed over us.

Look how much of the Carolinas she covered!

Our venture out into the hurricane!
Even though there were predictions of downed trees and power outages,
our part of the state was spared from any major damage.
So grateful. We kept our power the whole time, too.

We spent lots of quality puzzle time while
Grandma and Grandpa Sweat were in town
and it was stormy outside.

We got to watch an awesome nail-biting BYU football game
while G&G were in town. So fun!

Twinners

Finally a speck of blue skies after several days of
cloud and rain with the hurricane.

Caroline, Brianna, Whit, Ivy, Mallory after a temple trip.

Bridget and I got to host a baby shower for Natalie

First bouldering competition of the season.

Caroline took second place! Woot!

B and I got to go down to Wilmington to help
with hurricane clean-up down there.
They got hit HARD!

We cleaned up yard waste.

Look at that pile behind B!

Most of our day was spent tarping roofs.
After hurricanes, there are so many roofs that need to be re-done
that it takes months to get to all of them. In the meantime,
any damaged roofs will leak when any rainstorms come through.
So, as a temporary fix, you can nail tarps on to the roof
to prevent damage while you wait for a permanent fix.

Me, Scott, B, Justin, Rachael, Jared, and a friend

It was an exhausting day,
but I'm so glad we could serve with our ward members.
