Nutcracker

Every year, Miss Shelley's Nutcracker performance gets better and better. This year was no exception. It was FANTASTIC!!! I didn't want it to end. Everyone did SOOOOO good. I wish all of our loved ones could have been here to see it. We found out that Miss Shelley is moving over the summer and so this will be our last Nutcracker. :( I'm thrilled that this last one was such a memorable and high-quality show.

Brandon was the Snow King again. 

He got to dance with Macy this year. 

They were a beautiful couple.

Last year, he basically just stood there and lifted Whitney

or held her hands so that she could create beautiful poses.

He had to do a lot more actual dancing this year.

I was so proud of him! He did great!

In Act II, Clara and the Nutcracker get to watch performers from all the countries.

Chinese

B makes a cameo as the wolf. Hilarious.

There were actually three shows this year.

We only got to watch the third one.

Apparently one of the little sheep jumped right on B

in one of the earlier shows. Ouch....

Arabian

Whitney and Grant did amazing!

I LOVED watching this pas de deux.

Whitney's long legs are so gorgeous.

Michael performed as Mother Ginger.

It was SO funny. He was a show stealer, for sure.

Whit also danced in the Waltz of the Flowers.

We didn't get any video of it.

Mallory was a GREAT Dew Drop Fairy.

B was off to Spencer's 16th birthday party after the show.

The rest of us went out for yummy Japanese.

Yay! I'm grateful for the chance Brandon and Whitney have to work hard and put together this wonderful show. It has been such a blessing to have Miss Shelley's studio and I can't believe she's leaving.
